Jeffrey Peltier
Jeffrey Peltier’s experience includes the supervision, management, and direction setting of industrial sterilization facilities worldwide within Boston Scientific, Covidien, Medtronic and most recently Cardinal Health. This includes the operation and continual improvement of internal Ethylene Oxide, Steam, Electron Beam and Gamma Sterilizers with processes that support worldwide capacity. He has led the Supplier Management of contract EO, Gamma, X-ray, and E-beam facilities. He has held these roles since 1993 and in 2026 has been in the medical device sterilization industry for 33 years.
Jeff has been the key Sterility Assurance support for the international locations in Europe, Asia and most recently Australia. He works closely with each manufacturing location, assesses their practices and capabilities for internal sterilization using EO, steam and Electron Beam along with external sterilization using EO, gamma and X-ray sterilization. Jeff has implemented procedures that can withstand international regulatory scrutiny and supports the continuous improvements of the sterilization parameters.
Jeff has direct experience in the development of sterilization submission documentation and regularly conducts assessments of facilities against the industry’s external standards. He has experience leading the support of external audits and has acted as the forward-facing representative for multiple manufacturing facilities to demonstrate their sterilization and quality compliance to auditors. Jeff has mentored several Sterility Assurance and Microbiology individuals to teach and develop their skills and are now scattered across the industry in leadership positions worldwide.
Jeff currently serves as a Co-Chair of Working Group 11 within the Association for Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) where he is working to implement AAMI TIR 124-1 and AAMI TIR 124-2.
Jeff works from home in Minneapolis, MN, is a proficient woodworker, an avid fan of baseball and ice hockey and has recently added a 3D printing hobby in support of his want to improve his woodworking using the latest technology.
